Clear Beginnings Therapy
When things may seem unmanageable, independent and skilled communication with a counsellor or psychotherapist can bring about a sense of clarity; enabling us to view our situations from a new perspective.
My name is Amanda and I am an experienced counsellor and counselling supervisor based in Halifax and Leeds. I work with individuals and couples providing a safe and non-judgemental environment for counselling and psychotherapy that will enable you to explore in confidence the issues you are finding problematic. Our time together will support you on your journey to overcome the issues which are causing you distress. Counselling appointments are available at The Piece Hall in Halifax. This historic building in the centre of Halifax offers a beautiful and tranquil environment for counselling sessions. My other counselling practice is based in Leeds city centre at Park Place - both counselling practices are just a short walk away from bus and train stations and parking is available nearby.
Counselling supervision is also available at both Halifax and Leeds practices.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and work in accordance with their ethical framework.
Counselling and Psychotherapy sessions are usually held at my practices in The Piece Hall, Halifax or Park Place, Leeds- both are of central location and easily accessed by car, train or bus.
Why choose Counselling?
You may be considering counselling or psychotherapy to help with issues you feel are difficult or overwhelming. It may be a past or present trauma, a relationship difficulty with a partner, family member, friend or colleague. You may feel stuck and unsure where to turn.
Confused, depressed or anxious; life at the moment may be a struggle. Speaking with someone who is a compassionate, independent and skilful listener may be your first step.
Areas of experience
I am able to offer both long and short-term counselling and psychotherapy, and I have extensive experience in helping clients dealing with issues including:
I fully appreciate the courage it takes to talk about the difficulties you are experiencing, and I respect that taking the first step towards counselling can be a challenge. An initial phone call to discuss what's right for you may be the starting point.
As a Counsellor, I value your interests as a matter of prime importance; the element of trust within our relationship is paramount.
I am committed to keeping full confidentiality unless I feel there is any serious risk of harm to yourself or others. These limitations will be discussed further at our first session.
I look forward to hearing from you.
